standoffish cats waiting to be let back inside on cold, snowy day

These kitties on Helen’s porch wouldn’t give Oliver the time of day on Sunday morning. I wouldn’t trust any 18 month old human baby, either, so I don’t necessarily hold it against them. I noticed their beds were on the porch. Perhaps they got kicked out of the house for feline trouble? This was when I was taking the boys to the top of the hill for some sledding. I took Oliver down Aloha for one decent, slow run. Adam and I went down our street but stuck to the sidewalk since snow coverage was not all that great. For the rest of the day my back was a bit sore from the jarring rides, but it was worth it to fulfill Adam’s wishes for at least one day of sledding before Spring arrives!

Note the faint green tint of moss on the siding: Helen’s house is north-facing and very shady and cold in the wintertime.
