sleeping bear dunes national lakeshore (out-of-control, wind-aided descent)

This was Adam last month, running nearly as fast as Jesse Owens, albeit at an alarmingly steep downhill angle. I was sure his momentum might carry him straight into Lake Michigan and perhaps all the way out to the Manitou Islands (fortunately they’re serviced by a ferry). One of my sisters and I took our boys north for a couple days to explore at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The last time I was at Sleeping Bear Dunes, Adam was Oliver Fern’s age. On the subject of Sleeping Bear Dunes, a thunderstorm really clobbered the Park last week. The damage to local trees was severe.
